You grin at me

your eyes sparkle

and clap your hands

as you do your dance

you know the one,

The “I told you so”

Miss Smarty Pants Dance.

And still I have to tell you

Thank you!

For teaching me

to open up and express myself.

But in a flash

the smile is gone

you tear up and say

“I just held out my hand

and you followed.

It was already there.”

Ok, I'm crying too. You're doing a beautiful job of expressing yourself.

Hee hee... actually Debbie "wrote" this poem, I just took notes...these are all her actions and words, so not an original piece (is that plagerism?)

Donna!  I love this because it punctuates your journey through OWP.  I'm so glad I got to witness you emerge as a writer!  Thank you for sharing this.
